In collaboration with MCC Construction Singapore, Vouse created a VR training scenario for construction workers working at height. As the first of a series of training simulations, this scenario will soon be employed for safety training and induction of construction workers. Workers may familiarize themselves with the proper procedures in a low risk virtual environment, before engaging in real hazardous work.

In this training sequence, players will need to carry out a series of proper procedures in order to successfully complete the task of building a scaffolding at height. Some actions include donning the safety harness, setting up the lifeline as well as area cleaning and building form work.

To create the training scenario, an entire construction site was virtually recreated with photo-textures to increase the level of realism and immersion in the scenario.
In future, more training scenarios will be created to allow workers to familiarize themselves with dangerous work processes at a safe and monitored environment before moving into real work environments.
